Metallic floor kit

About 100 sq ft as a complete system.

Skim coat: 1 gal of clear mixed epoxy covers about 125 sq ft. Metallic flood coat: 1 gal covers about 50 sq ft. One kit = 1 gal skim + 2 gal flood = roughly 100 sq ft. Skip the skim coat only over sound, scuffed existing epoxy; then the same kit floods about 150 sq ft.

• 2 gal epoxy resin, Part A
• 1 gal hardener, Part B
• 2 × 12 oz liquid base color for the chosen finish
• 2 × 25 g metallic accent powder for the chosen finish

Sold separately:

• Floor tool pack (T-bar, spiked shoes, roller, paddles, gloves)
• Clear shield top coat for high-traffic and garage floors
• Extra metallic powder if you want a third accent color

Works on:

• Bare or ground concrete, moisture under 10 percent on a pin meter
• Painted or sealed concrete, sanded back to bare
• Sound existing epoxy, scuffed (no skim coat needed)

Good to know:

• Not for wood, laminate or tile
• Not over failing or peeling coatings
• Room must hold 70 to 75°F for 24 hours before and after the pour
• Not a moisture barrier: test the slab first

1. Grind uneven or coated slabs; lightly sand smooth bare concrete. Vacuum, then wipe with isopropyl alcohol.
2. Mix 2:1 by volume for 3 minutes. Pull a clear skim coat with the squeegee, roll it again the other way, cure 12 to 24 hours.
3. Mix the flood coat with the base color, pour in ribbons, spread with the T-bar to about 50 sq ft per gallon.
4. Dust and drag the accent powders through the wet coat to pull the pattern. Work inside the 45-minute window.
5. Top coat once it is hard, 24 hours to 7 days on, scuffed with a gray pad. Walk on it at 24 hours, 48 is safer. Furniture after 3 days, lifted not dragged. Park after 7 days.
